A statement from Mark Block, Director of the Electronic Vaping Coalition of America regarding FDA Memo
Washington, D.C. – A statement from Mark Block, Director of the Electronic Vaping Coalition of America (EVCA), regarding the libelous accusations that he or anyone affiliated with EVCA forged or created a document purporting to be from the Food and Drug Administration or the FDA Commissioner.
“On behalf of EVCA, I categorically deny that I, or any individual affiliated with EVCA, either drafted or created any document purporting to be an official (or even unofficial) document from the FDA.”
“EVCA received the document in question from a source believed to be a credible, third party source, and we were well aware it was not a public or official FDA document. EVCA never released it publicly.”
“To accuse us of fraud and deceit is not only libelous and defamatory, but only divides the industry further and hurts the chance of achieving objectives that will help the entire industry. EVCA will continue to work toward the goal of a sensible regulatory environment that encourages innovation and will allow the vaping industry to serve millions of people who seek an alternative to smoking combustible cigarettes.”
